Insights from MainstreamBIO’s participation at Bioeconomy Changemakers Festival Satellite Event

Last Thursday, March 14th, marked a significant moment for MainstreamBIO as we participated in a satellite event co-organized by the ROBIN project, BioGov.net, and GenB as part of the Bioeconomy Changemakers Festival. Held at Ok!Thess, this event aimed to inform professionals, academics, and students about career opportunities in the bioeconomy sector.

The event witnessed a remarkable turnout, with over 40 participants eagerly engaging in discussions and activities. With a shared vision of advancing the bioeconomy, all three projects came together to promote skills development and policy design for a sustainable future. Moreover, BioGov.net and the ROBIN project organized a regional policy workshop, which focused on shaping policies to foster skills development in the bioeconomy sector, with the Region of Central Macedonia presenting its bioeconomy strategy.

Throughout the event, speakers offered valuable insights into the development of the circular bioeconomy and its future prospects in Greece. Topics ranged from skills and studies related to the bioeconomy to inspiring case studies and opportunities for youth entrepreneurship. Attendees left the event informed and inspired, recognizing the immense potential of the bioeconomy to drive positive change across various sectors.
