On May 30th, 2024, the third  Future Farming & Food Experience (FFFE) Day took place in Lelystad, hosted by ACRRES. This highly anticipated event brought together 1,300 attendees and 50 companies showcasing the latest innovations and technologies poised to shape the future of farming by 2030.

Wageningen set up an engaging stand that attracted between more than 80 enthusiastic visitors throughout the day. The team highlighted also the Pumpkin Beer project, showcasing the potential of using pumpkin as a substrate for beer production. A novel concept supported also by MainstreamBIO project.

Visitors were engaged to informative discussions on the processes and benefits of these innovative projects. In addition, leaflets and handouts about MainstreamBIO were distributed to stimulate interest in regional biobased activities.

The event featured multiple activities aimed at fostering engagement and knowledge sharing. Attendees had the opportunity to visit 50 stakeholder stands, participate in demo visits, and engage in 12 question sessions covering various topics related to the latest agricultural innovations.

Wageningen’s participation in the FFFE Day not only highlighted the institution’s cutting-edge research but also emphasized its commitment to sustainable and innovative agricultural practices.
