MainstreamBIO Networking Event in Denmark Highlights Regenerative Farming & Soil Health
On March 14th, 2025, MainstreamBIO hosted a successful networking and awareness-raising event at the beautiful Sanderumgaard estate in Odense, Denmark. Organised by Food & Bio Cluster Denmark (FBCD), the event brought together over 70 participants, including agricultural students, farmers, researchers, and agro-industry professionals, to explore how conservation agriculture and reduced tillage can align with large-scale vegetable production.
Henrik Terp, operations manager at Sanderumgaard and chairman of the Danish Association for Reduced Tillage (FRDK), delivered a compelling keynote. His central message: future food producers must remain open-minded and curious, embracing the many opportunities of sustainable farming under Denmark’s tripartite agreement.
The event featured a field demonstration showcasing both successes and challenges of reduced tillage—highlighting soil health, sustainable crop rotation, and real-world insights from Sanderumgaard’s innovative practices. With direct engagement from young agricultural students and professionals, the event highlighted the importance of hands-on learning and knowledge exchange in transforming bio-based practices.
The event concluded with an inspiring call for integrating best practices from conventional, conservation, and organic farming systems, reinforcing the role of collaboration in building a more sustainable food future.
