MainstreamBIO’s 3rd Project Meeting in Almere was a success !

The 3rd Project Meeting of MainstreamBIO was successfully completed in Almere (the Netherlands) on 10-11 October 2023. The meeting was hosted by Wageningen University & Research, and was attended by all consortium partners who shared their input on the progress made so far by the project.

For the first day of the meeting, partners met at the World Trade Center in Almere where they made a general overview of the work packages, exchanged on the activities of the Work Packages achieved and started working on the action plan for the 3rd semester. This led to discuss the set-up of regional multi-actor innovation platforms results, the development of the digital toolkit, the delivery of innovation support accelerating the scale up of small-scale bio-based solutions and the awareness raising campaign on the project.

For the second day of the meeting, consortium partners travelled to ACCRES Lelystad setting the day for another day of productive discussions. WP leaders and task leaders presented updates on the planning regarding the project management and coordination. Moreover, another brainstorming session for WP3 took place followed by a presentation of the MainstreamBIO toolkit presentation where its functionalities were discussed.

The final session assessed the project’s progress toward key performance indicators (KPIs) and identified specific actions needed. Furthermore, the action plan for the 3rd semester was discussed and validated on tasks to be performed including the MainstreamBIO promotional video and the capacity building workshops. Emphasis was placed on activities per partner, important deadlines, and how to achieve them to remain on track (M13 to M18).

A great thanks to Wageningen University & Research for hosting the meeting and for the amazing tour provided at the ACCRES facilities and Farm of the Future.

We look forward to sharing more updates and progress with you in the coming months.

Stay tuned for more updates !
