MainstreamBIO’s Networking Events continue with a Focus on Regenerative Farming in Denmark

From January to April 2025, MainstreamBIO will host its second round of networking events across its focal regions, reinforcing its mission to accelerate the adoption of small-scale bio-based solutions in rural Europe. These events serve as a bridge between bio-based innovators, local stakeholders, and industry experts, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange to drive sustainable development.

Why Networking Matters

Effective networking is a key driver for innovation, providing essential resources for bio-based entrepreneurs at every stage of their project lifecycle. These events will offer:

  • Market insights to improve product and service marketability.
  • Mentorship & collaboration opportunities to develop sustainable business models.
  • Knowledge-sharing sessions to integrate bio-based solutions into mainstream practice.

By connecting innovators, businesses, and policymakers, MainstreamBIO aims to strengthen partnerships that advance the bioeconomy and drive tangible impact in rural regions.

Denmark Kicks Off the Series – Focus on Regenerative Farming

The nextNetworking Event will take place on March 14th in Denmark, hosted by Food & Bio Cluster Denmark (FBCD). This event will focus on regenerative farming and minimal soil disturbance, one of the five key principles in sustainable agriculture.

The session, titled “Minimal Tradition – Professional and Practical Dilemmas,” will dive into:

  • Practical approaches to minimal soil disturbance in large-scale farming.
  • Challenges in crop rotation with potatoes and other crops under this method.
  • Balancing organic farming principles with real-world agricultural practices.
  • Scientific insights on the impact of minimal soil disturbance and its effects on soil health and ecosystem sustainability.

Farmers, industry professionals, and researchers will have the opportunity to exchange knowledge, explore real-world applications, and discuss strategies for integrating regenerative practices into modern agriculture.
