Showcasing & Supporting Innovation in Poland
On November 29th, 2024, MainstreamBIO, in collaboration with the Operational Group “Owoce 4.0,” hosted a scale-up workshop in Wąwolnica, Poland. The event highlighted the remarkable achievements of Ribes Technologies, a startup led by Łukasz Kopiński, a MIP member and beneficiary of MainstreamBIO’s support services.
The workshop was structured around the selective spraying technology developed by Ribes Technologies, an innovation co-financed by the European Union. This technology aims to enhance the quality of blackcurrant production while reducing the use of plant protection products. Łukasz Kopiński shared his journey, detailing the product development process, the support received from MainstreamBIO, and the development of a tailored business model to scale this solution further.
Participants, primarily agricultural entrepreneurs and aspiring innovators from the agri-food industry, were actively engaged in discussions on the scale-up possibilities for the technology. Matchmaking opportunities facilitated by MainstreamBIO were also explored, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in fostering innovation in fruit production and beyond.
While the event primarily attracted stakeholders from the agricultural sector, the high level of interest and participation underscored the value of such targeted discussions in advancing bio-based solutions.
