Sharing Good Practices in Bio-Based Solutions
On October 10th our partners from IUNG co-hosted an engaging workshop aimed at promoting the exchange of good practices and knowledge transfer regarding small-scale bio-based solutions, business models, and nutrient recycling practices across European regions.
Held in conjunction with the Interreg Baltic Sea Region CiNURGi project, the event brought together participants from academia, business, advisory services, and non-governmental organizations, representing multiple European countries.
The event, moderated by Magdalena Borzęcka, began with an insightful presentation on MainstreamBIO’s toolkit and functionalities, focusing on sustainable fertilization and nutrient recycling practices. This set the stage for a vibrant discussion on innovative approaches in the bioeconomy.
Participants also gained insights on:
- nutrient recycling practices identified within MainstreamBIO.
- key findings of CiNuRGi project on sustainable fertilization in the Baltic Sea Region.
- organic fertilizers and plant stimulation solutions through lively discussions on product development, overcoming business barriers, and marketing strategies.
The second part of the workshop showcase the Bioeconomy Challenge, hosted as part of the BioRural project. Here, 12 teams from Poland, Lithuania, and Latvia presented innovative bio-based business ideas, promoting international collaboration and showcasing the potential of rural bioeconomy across Europe.
