Exploring Carbon Farming and Bio-Based Technologies in Sofia, Bulgaria
MainstreamBIO’s next Mutual Learning Workshop is set to take place on November 8th at the Victor Asenov Farm in Sofia, Bulgaria, and will be organized by our partner, the Agricultural University of Plovdiv. This workshop will serve as a crucial platform for learning and collaboration around innovative carbon management and bio-based solutions, specifically tailored for small-scale agricultural applications.
Participants will engage with critical topics, including:
- Carbon Farming: Effective strategies for carbon management in agriculture.
- Carbon Offset: Insights into balancing emissions through sustainable practices.
- Carbon Sequestration: Techniques for managing soil carbon levels.
- Greenhouse Bio-Based Technologies: Innovative approaches to reduce greenhouse carbon footprints.
The workshop will also feature:
- Demonstrations and Speaker Sessions: Exhibitors and invited experts will present relevant biosolutions designed to lower carbon emissions, with a particular focus on small-scale, practical applications.
- Interactive Workshop: Participants will collaborate to identify evidence-based best practices, share lessons learned, and discuss success factors and barriers within their work fields.
- Networking Session: Encouraging partnerships and knowledge-sharing to support the bioeconomy and small-scale biosolutions throughout the EU.
This event promises to advance sustainable practices across rural areas by promoting hands-on, scalable biosolutions.
